Questions and answers
Clear answers before we start.
The questions we regularly discuss about scope, delivery and launch, collected in one place. Contact us if your question is not covered.
Getting started and scope
What does KODAKIL work on?
We work on websites, digital products, dashboards, interfaces and design systems. Our scope also includes AI integrations, workflow automation and graphic design. Product engineering, system architecture and creative direction are brought together according to what the project needs.
What should I prepare for a first conversation?
A link to your current website or product, the problem to solve and the desired outcome are a useful starting point. Your audience, approximate scope, any budget range and deadline help us assess the work. If there is no brief yet, we can start by clarifying the need together.
How is a project priced?
Pricing depends on scope, content, integrations, design requirements and delivery responsibilities. We agree what is included and excluded before proposing an engagement model. There is no single package price that accurately covers every project.
Can we work on an hourly, monthly or project basis?
Hourly consulting, a defined production period or a project with agreed deliverables may suit different needs. An ongoing engagement can also be considered for a growing product. The choice depends on decision speed, uncertainty and your team’s delivery rhythm.
How long does a website or application take?
Content readiness, review cycles, screen count and integrations affect the schedule. Milestones and dependencies are written down after assessing the scope. We do not promise a fixed number of days or a launch date before understanding the work.
How do you work with Samsun and Ireland?
Remote collaboration covers Samsun, Ordu, Sinop, Amasya, Tokat and Çorum, as well as Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare and Meath. We agree English or Turkish communication, meeting times and review routines at the start. Any on-site work is planned separately.
Software and design
Can you improve an existing website or application?
We first review the existing code, design, content and user journeys. If a focused improvement solves the problem, a complete rebuild may be unnecessary. A replacement is considered against maintenance costs, technical constraints and product goals.
Are mobile usability and accessibility included?
Narrow screens, different content lengths, keyboard use and basic accessible states are considered during design and development. Labels, visible focus and semantic page structure are part of this work. Independent audits or certification against a specific standard need a separate scope.
Which technologies do you use?
We use tools such as React and TypeScript for interfaces, but the existing system, team skills and maintenance needs guide the choice. An established content platform or backend can be integrated. Changing technology is not a reason by itself to replace a working system.
Can I update the content myself?
A content workflow can be built when editable areas are defined at the start. Roles, media uploads and publication approvals follow that scope. The exact editable fields and any training are agreed in the proposal.
Can a site support English and Turkish?
Yes. Each language can have its own URLs, titles and descriptions, with matching pages linked through language alternatives. Translation, copywriting and ongoing content ownership are agreed at the start. Automated translation does not replace content review.
Who controls the code, domain and hosting?
Account ownership, code delivery and usage rights should be explicit in the project agreement. Domain and hosting responsibilities, subscriptions and required access are settled before launch. An existing provider can be retained if it meets the technical requirements.
AI and integration
Is AI the right answer for every project?
No. A straightforward integration or rule-based automation may be more appropriate when the process is already well defined. AI should have a specific use case, evaluation criteria and a sustainable operating model. We assess whether the problem needs it before proposing an implementation.
Can an AI system work with company documents?
Document search and knowledge access can be built after defining sources, permissions and permitted content. Linking answers to sources and adding human review are part of the plan where appropriate. Data sensitivity, retention and provider choice require separate consideration.
What happens when an AI result is wrong?
We plan clear feedback, human review and alternative paths for inadequate or uncertain results. A first implementation is evaluated within a bounded use case. Accuracy and error-free operation in every situation are not guaranteed.
Can you integrate a CRM, ERP or another tool?
We review API access, permissions, the data model and licensing terms before defining an integration. Transfer direction, update frequency and failure handling are specified. Provider restrictions or missing access may require additional development or limit what is possible.
Are third-party service fees included?
Hosting, domains, email, AI usage and paid tools may have subscription or usage costs. These should be distinguished from development fees in the proposal. We agree the services and account owners before using them.
Launch, SEO and maintenance
What is included in SEO work?
We review crawlable HTML, titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, language alternatives, internal links and the sitemap. Mobile usability, sharing images and appropriate structured data are also considered. Useful content matters alongside technical settings.
Do you guarantee first place on Google or a visitor target?
No. Rankings and traffic depend on competition, content quality, demand and search engine decisions. Technical readiness and measurement can improve, but first place, indexing dates and a specific number of enquiries cannot be promised.
What can Google Analytics measure?
Page visits and navigation can be measured according to an agreed plan. A real GA4 property and web data stream are required. Optional Analytics on this site does not load until the visitor accepts it; names, email addresses and form messages are not included in analytics events.
Are the sitemap and Search Console the same thing?
No. A sitemap lists indexable site URLs. Search Console provides search visibility and crawling information after ownership verification. Submitting a sitemap does not guarantee that every page will be indexed.
Can existing URLs be protected during a launch?
We back up files and review existing URLs and their replacements before publishing. Changed URLs need appropriate redirects, applied through Nginx or Apache according to the available server permissions. Pages, assets and error responses are checked on the live site afterwards.
Is maintenance available after launch?
Maintenance scope, response expectations and ongoing development can be agreed in the project or a separate support arrangement. Content updates, dependency upgrades and new features are different responsibilities. Delivery does not automatically include unlimited support.
How can I start a project?
Use the contact page or email [email protected]. The form opens a draft in your email application; you complete the actual send there. Include the problem, desired outcome and a link to the current website to help with an initial assessment.
